LOGO CONTEST WINNER
The logo contest is official over. Steve was going to make an official announcement, but he's been busy working on the next masterpiece, so I'll stumble my way through this one. The winner of the logo contest is Mike Jones, who is also our new designer!
Mike Jones, Jr. makes his living as a professor of graphic design and chair of the art department at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. He spends lots of his time designing posters, logos, brochures, web sites, and so forth, and teaching eager young college students how to do the same. He has also taught in both New York and Arkansas, attended school in Louisiana, spent two years in West Africa, and has fond feelings for former home North Carolina, but considers Tennessee his home state. Obviously, he gets run out of town quite often. His not-so-secret passion, however, is comics, both reading and producing them. As an honorable mention, Steve picked a runner up that he wanted to give some credit to. The final decision came down to the flip of a coin. It was pretty close. The runner up was Steve Price from Wantagh, NY. Here's his design:
