He should probably mention it
whenever he discusses the new project, but The Dude has
indeed said that Mike Baron will be writing the new
issues of Nexus. So, worry no more on that score.

Another one for the future, I guess.
Lol, I read your remark on Cerebus
and thought much the same, a series I never read. And
we're together on this one too, never read it. Don't
know if it's a hole though.....looking at my piles of
comics I almost can't imagine there's anything of a hole
possible .
It's impossible to get it all, sometimes you have to let
something go by.

Everyone lets "something" go by - or at
least I believe so since the idea of someone reading
every comic extant is on the unbelievable side - but
don't miss out on Nexus. The early issues are available
in several formats with varying levels of affordability,
so there's little excuse to miss out. Even the non-Rude
issues of Nexus are good and I know many of those
have found themselves in discount bins.
I liked
Cerebus, too, but I could understand missing out on that
because it had a tendency towards density (especially
post Church & State).
Nexus is one of my
favorite books of all time, and if it wasn't for my 80s
Byrne fetish (Uncanny X-Men and Fantastic Four in
particular), it would probably be #1.

It shouldn't have any as far as I
know, since Rude is
putting out new material, and the DH program is focused
on the older Capital/First run of the book from
1983-1991 and, I presume eventually, the material that
DH published from 1992-1997.

Anyone
else think that Essential-style 'budget'
paperbacks of the entire previous Nexus run would
be a very very good idea indeed? The whole 100-odd issue
run (including Next Nexus and the Judah
spin-offs) could be collected into just 4
phonebooks...

I'd buy 'em...
I'm still trying to get Mike Baron
to hook me up with a copy of the hardcover!
But yeah-- I'd buy 'em, too!
