Nexus began in 1981 from Steve Rude & Mike Baron, following Horatio Hellpop—a dream-haunted cosmic executioner empowered by the Merk—across a far-future universe. Across the decades it’s appeared at Capital, First, and Dark Horse.

In 2020 the creators took separate paths with The Coming of Gourmando—the moment Steve’s solo journey begins.
