Three weeks ago our 15 year-old son was admitted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital with what we assumed was a bad case of Crypto. Cryptosporidium (“Crypto”) is a parasite transferred in recreational waters and so far, has only seen an outbreak locally here in Phoenix. Brandon caught it, along with half his swim team, when the swim season started mid-August. What we were not expecting was a diagnosis of Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis and a 2 week hospital stay, critical anemia, considerable weight loss, chronic malnutrition, and expensive life-long treatments when he proved to be steroid resistant. Brandon is on the road to feeling better, but with funds needed for medical expenses we have decided to list for sale all of Steve’s recent Future Quest pages and covers that he’s done for DC comics. www.SteveRude.com/futurequest
